Graduation! WAHOOOOO!!

Yes I did really wear that under my gown, per my mothers request might I add. I could graduate happy with my championship T-shirt. Yeah baby!

Walking across the stage, getting a fake diploma!

The celebration of theC-town girls. Alas, we made it! We also had a little Claremont 1 reunion. It was great!

The happy graduate and the happy parents. Yeah baby!

Can I just say how great it was to have my family in town. I love them and I am so grateful for them and all of their support though my college years. Thanks family for being so willing to help my get through it. I am also so grateful I chose BYU and the amazing things I have learned here. More than the academic knowledge, which has been influential in my life, the people I have met her e have taught me so much about how and why I want to follow the Savior. I am so grateful to have felt over and over the love of God and His Son. I am a daughter of God and He loves me and I am so grateful for that knowledge.

Missing J-ru

So I love blogging even when I don't have time for it. Oops.. I am going to do a primary activity day for my aunt Stephanie all about Jerusalem and Galilee and the stories of Christ today. Therefore, I have been looking over tons of my Jerusalem pictures and stuff and so here are some more favs that made me miss it like no other. Also, there have been lots of really scary things happening over there these past few weeks and a friend said that she saw one of the little boys that we got to know who was on the news as part of the anti-Israel rallies and things. I hope and pray that all my friends are ok over there.

Friday Five

Well this little exercise helps me to stay positive and remember that life is good so here goes:
1. I am so grateful for prayer. Making decisions is not easy but prayer makes it easier. I am grateful to feel peace when I ask for peace even though I don't get the other things that I ask for right away, when I need peace it always comes immediately.
2. Warm spring weather. Before I go any further we all need to remember how non-committal Provo weather is but yesterday and the day before we just beautiful days. It helps me to be happier when the sun is shining.
3. Family. I am grateful for family who is always there to talk when I need someone to bounce things off of. Heavenly Fathers plan that families can be together forever is so comforting and becoming more real to me. I am grateful for nearby siblings and others who are only a phone call away.
4. Beanies. I cant tell you how working at 6am has really put a damper on my hair doing situation but I love that you can just cover it up with a beanie.
5. Joy! I am grateful for the things that bring joy into my life. I tend to forget fairly quickly that men are that they might have joy. When we are joyful in moments when we don't feel we can be are moments when I have noticed that the Lord will find a way to bless us with true joy. Its all about enjoying the journey through the trials and pain.

The goings ons...

So I think I decided on ISU but notice how I still said I think. Making decisions is not my forte but I felt good about ISU and so I have sent my acceptance and 300 dollar deposit. If thats not enough to make me commit than I don't know what is. I am very excited about the prospect of grad school and decided that the most cost efficient and closest to family and friends beats out the prospect of 18th best program in the country. Not sure how logical that is but thats what I am going for and I know that I will get a good education at ISU. I am super excited to be doing what I have dreamed of doing for the past 10 years of my life. Basically, life is good.

Pocatello in the summer. I will try to remember this in January, maybe the memory will keep me warm.

Jerusalem lovin'

So here are the pictures I tried to put up a few days ago. I just love the colors. This was pretty much the only fall colored trees around but they were beautiful. These were taken by the one and only Nathan Mahler.

I love the black and white with only the yellow tree! Might be a favorite Jerusalem picture... but there are lots of favorites.

Friday Five mixed with some Jerusalem lovin'!

I decided to follow suit and tell you 5 things I am grateful for this week.

1. I am grateful to know that my Savior understands my emotions and feelings. Between a very hard semester and 6 am work every morning, I have had a rough semester. But I have really been working on building a relationship with my Savior and Father in Heaven who I know understand me and my needs and love me despite my shortcomings and weaknesses.

2. I am grateful for fingers. Do you realize what life would be like without them? Very difficult and not as fulfilling.

3. For the temple. My place a refuge. Last week I went to the temple and saw a tender mercy of the Lord. One of my good friends is in the MTC and she just so happened to be in the same session as I was. It made me remember that Heavenly Father loves me and knows me.

4. I am grateful to know that my sister is having a baby boy! They just found out yesterday and I am so excited and happy for them. I can't wait to be an aunt and spoil my nephew to pieces!

5. I am grateful that I got in to ISU. They called me yesterday and asked if I was still interested. I said yes of course, but now on to the decisions.

Chemistry

Chemistry(noun) 1. An excruciating form of torture; sometimes self-imposed. 2. Death broken down into many hourly segments, usually occurring in groups of 17 or more.

This about how I feel right now. Just spent 5 hours in a 2 hour lab and I have a huge 3+ hour test tomorrow which I should be studying for instead of blogging about but I just needed some vent-age. Also I just got a letter from Idaho State basically telling me that I get in to their program if I get B's in all my classes, including this dang chemistry class. That is great news and also keeps my stress levels high since I was hoping to just pass the class but now I actually have to do relatively well, well for me.

Anyway... I guess I should go study but I liked that definition from urbandictionary.com. I am off to Vegas tomorrow to interview at UNLV and see my beloved mother. Relief, well, for 24 hours at least until I am back for the next torture, AKA PHYSICS! When will it end?!? Oh wait not for another 3 years? I am insane and this is self-imposed.
